Job description

Notary Public - Jasper County, Missouri
Sybil Mobile Notary, a progressive growing company that encourages you to be independent while controlling your life balance. You will work as a full-time or part-time, independent contractor and control your own schedule and work expenses. General Notary Publics (GNP) may handle private individual's, private and commercial companies, and provide notary services for federal, city and state awarded government contracts.
Notary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Being present at the time of document execution (this may include traveling to clients' homes and businesses, performing notarizations in our office locations, or remotely (RON)
  • Verifying the identification of signers, witnesses, participants
  • Document execution (legally binding signatures)
  • Affirming the state of mind of all signers
  • Identifying fraud or coercion
  • Administering oaths
  • Handling affidavits, contracts, loan documents, court hearings, marriage certificates, and other legal documents
  • Bearing witness to items within a safe deposit box or the equivalent
  • Maintaining a notary journal as required by your commissioned state
  • Scheduling notary appointments
  • Attend SMN trainings and required events
  • Accept/decline new job orders and follow the rules of SMN and its clients
Requirements
  • Current Missouri Notary commission required
  • NNA Certifications required
  • Meets all the states requirements to be a commissioned notary
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with legal documents and loan documents
  • Flexibility, professionalism is a must
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and on a team
  • RON Certified notaries are a plus
  • Ability to speak and read in other languages is desired
