Job description

Job Title: Contract Recruiter, Talent Acquisition & Innovation

Location: #Hybrid

Pay Range: $33.04 – $46.67 per hour

The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.  The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.


The Recruiter will work collaboratively within the Talent Acquisition & Innovation Center of Excellence (CoE) to support the full life cycle recruitment process across the RWJBarnabas Health system. This role is vital in helping to meet hiring goals by driving recruitment strategies, building trusted relationships, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience from application to offer. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Innovation, the ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a “closer” mentality, and a passion for finding top talent in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

As a Recruiter, a typical day might include the following:

  • Focusing on high-priority and hard-to-fill positions and tailoring your sourcing approach.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand needs and guide hiring decisions.
  • Building trust-based relationships with candidates and stakeholders across the system.
  • Managing the offer process with confidence and professionalism.
  • Communicating clearly and promptly to ensure a great experience for everyone involved.
  • Using tools, technology, and social media to attract and engage talent.
  • Supporting internal employees with transfers and career growth opportunities.
  • Keeping systems and reports accurate and up to date.
  • Representing RWJBH at career fairs, professional organizations, and networking events.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have current, progressive recruiting experience with a demonstrated track record of success. Recent experience in healthcare talent sourcing and/or recruiting is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in leveraging recruiting technologies, including ATS platforms, CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools to identify, engage, and attract top talent. Prior experience in recruitment, talent identification, research, or executive search environments is required. A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.

This is a six-month contract opportunity, and we are seeking individuals who are eager to contribute in a temporary capacity while making an immediate impact on our talent acquisition efforts.
