We provide a relaxed, but professional, friendly work environment. We are looking for the right fit -- an individual who is a team player and will help our company grow to the next level.

What You Do

As a key member of The Nabo Group’s leadership team, the Director of Community Management is responsible for the operational success, client satisfaction, and team performance across a designated region. This strategic role ensures consistency in service delivery, drives regional performance aligned with company goals, and supports both organic growth and acquisition integration efforts. You’ll supervise a diverse team of managers, coordinators, and field staff while acting as a champion of The Nabo Group’s culture, systems, and standards.

This position plays a critical leadership role in aligning daily operations with the company’s service models (naboMAX, naboPLUS, naboREMOTE), optimizing internal processes, and promoting accountability across teams.

Operational Oversight:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations for all associations within the assigned region.
  • Monitor financial health, contract compliance, and customer service standards.
  • Ensure property managers and support teams execute Nabo’s service models consistently.
  • Track and analyze operational KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate performance of regional team members, including managers, coordinators, and field staff.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations.
  • Align team performance with company goals using the EOS framework (Rocks, To-Dos, Scorecards) via Ninety.io.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and Radical Candor.

Client & Board Relations:

  • Serve as an escalation point for Board members and clients within the region.
  • Attend Board and annual meetings as needed to strengthen client relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery of board packets, reports, and budgets in accordance with contractual obligations.

Acquisition Integration & Growth:

  • Support the integration of newly acquired associations, including staff onboarding and client handoff.
  • Collaborate with Development and Onboarding teams during due diligence and stabilization phases.
  • Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base.

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Lead regional implementation of new tools and initiatives, including AI (NICO), systems (CINC, Zendesk), and SOP rollouts.
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions that enhance service quality and profitability.
  • Monitor regional performance metrics and contribute to company-wide strategic tracking.

Vendor & Maintenance Oversight:

  • Partner with Nabo Services and the Vendor Coordinator to maintain vendor compliance, quality control, and contract enforcement.
  • Support regional audits, vendor performance assessments, and service evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to travel within the assigned region and attend in-person meetings or events as needed.
  • Must be available for occasional evening or weekend Board meetings and urgent escalations.
  • CMCA certification required at time of hire.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Community Association Management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • CMCA required; AMS or PCAM strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing hybrid or distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of association governance, contract enforcement, and state laws.
  • Experience with operational systems such as CINC Systems, Zendesk, and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework is a plus.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to lead through change and resolve conflict constructively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial management experience, including P&L oversight and departmental budgeting.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible PTO & 13 observed holidays
  • CAI Membership covered at 100%
  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, Vision insurance
  • 100% Employer-paid Life and AD&D Insurance
