About the RoleHappen Bank is looking for a Sr Organic Growth Manager to own our web strategy and lead the evolution of our SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) programs. In this role, you'll shape how customers discover Happen through traditional search and AI-generated experiences, driving qualified traffic, customer engagement, and business growth.
You'll partner closely with Brand, Product, Content, and Engineering teams to translate technical and content strategies into measurable business outcomes while continually evolving our organic growth capabilities.What You'll Do
  • Own web strategy and key performance metrics, including bounce rate and conversion
  • Oversee CMS workflows and manage the execution of landing page development and optimization
  • Build and execute Happen's end-to-end SEO and GEO strategy, from keyword research and content planning to technical optimization and authority building
  • Develop programs that grow Happen's rankings across high-intent commercial insurance queries, including coverage types, industry-specific terms, and informational searches across every stage of the funnel
  • Research and execute strategies that improve Happen's visibility in AI-generated answers across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google SGE, and emerging tools
  • Audit and maintain site health, partnering with Engineering to implement structured data, improve crawlability, and optimize performance in support of rankings
  • Build measurement and reporting frameworks and share findings across all levels of management
  • Translate tactical SEO and GEO findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
About You
  • 6+ years of experience in web marketing, user experience, technical SEO, or search and discovery optimization; bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Deep experience in technical SEO and GEO fundamentals, including crawlability and indexation, metadata, structured data, and redirect strategy
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise content management systems and translating optimization requirements into scalable templates, components, and standards
  • Proven track record improving rankings and organic traffic in competitive, high-intent keyword categories across SEO and GEO
  • Experience working in financial services, insurance, or another highly regulated industry
  • Strong bias for action and an executional mindset
  • Stellar communication skills, with a track record of turning tactical findings into digestible recommendations for senior leadership
  • You have hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate your work and improve output quality. You're equally comfortable using them yourself and helping others apply them thoughtfully, recognizing where human judgment and oversight are essential

  • Experience with analytical frameworks and A/B testing
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and SQL

The above locations are eligible offices for this role.The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role's team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role's success, and remote placement will not be considered.Happen Bank offers relocation, based on actual job level.

While the position will primarily work local hours, Happen Bank is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements

Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 156,000-183,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of Happen Bank's Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).
