Job description

We're Looking For A: Director, Organic Growth & AI Visibility

Location: Hybrid (Woodland Hills, CA)

What You'll Be Doing: The Director of Organic Growth & AI Visibility will lead all organic visibility and earned media functions for the Golden Hippo wellness portfolio brands. This includes SEO, AI/Answer Engine visibility, content strategy, public relations, and organic social.

  • Multi-Brand Strategy & Integration
    • Architect and lead the centralized organic growth roadmap for the Golden Hippo brand portfolio. 
    • Define cross-channel operating models that bridge the gap between high-authority brand storytelling and technical performance. 
    • Align Brand, Creative, Product Marketing, Performance, and Data teams around shared processes and KPIs.
  • Next-Gen SEO & Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
    • Drive the evolution from traditional SEO to Entity-Based Optimization, ensuring our experts and brands are recognized as primary authorities in Google's Knowledge Graph.
    • Build Golden Hippo's roadmap for visibility across AI-driven interfaces (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google Search Generative Experience).
    • Implement advanced structured data and schema strategies to maximize "machine readability" and dominate featured snippets and AI-generated answers.
  • Content Strategy & Governance
    • AI Implementation: Identify, audit and deploy AI tools to modernize the content lifecycle across editorial, multimedia, and modular formats.
    • Develop automated workflows to transform long-form content into high-performing assets.
    • Own governance, accuracy, and brand alignment across organic content.
  • Video SEO & YouTube Ecosystem
    • Serve as the high-level strategist for the existing YouTube teams, aligning their content roadmaps with broader brand growth goals and SEO initiatives.
    • Bridge the gap between YouTube and other organic channels, ensuring "Hero" video content is systematically repurposed into high-authority SEO articles and PR assets. 
    • Support the team in maximizing Video SEO and "Short-to-Long" funnel strategies to increase channel authority and reach. 
    • Define unified metrics that track how video content contributes to the total "Halo Effect" of brand search and organic revenue.
  • PR, Authority & Earned Media
    • Partner with the PR team to synchronize media outreach with SEO "Entity" strategies, ensuring all earned coverage builds the founders' E-E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness).
    • Implement AI-backed sentiment and attribution tools to move reporting from simple impressions to measurable brand-authority impact.
    • Sync Social platform strategies with the broader organic content cycle, ensuring a unified brand voice across all "discovery" interfaces.
    • Develop AI workflows for trend discovery and creative scaling, allowing the team to 10x engagement and in-app search visibility (TikTok/IG SEO) without increasing manual overhead.
  • Analytics & Attribution
    • Define and track unified KPIs that prove the value of organic , focusing on share of voice, sentiment, and organic-to-conversion attribution.
    • Build cross-channel dashboards that visualize the "Halo Effect" of initiatives and programs on direct search volume and overall brand health.
    • Lead testing and optimization across organic touchpoints.

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • 10+ years in SEO, content, communications, or organic growth roles.
  • Minimum 5 years managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience integrating SEO, PR, and social programs.
  • Deep technical fluency in AI LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, etc.) and their application in content marketing.
  • Knowledge of AI search/answer engines and emerging visibility platforms (preferred)
  • Experience with data-driven PR or entity/structured data strategy (preferred)
  • Proficiency in SEO, social, analytics, and PR tools (GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprout) (preferred)

The base salary range is $154,000 - $185,000, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
