Document Control Specialist
Tempe, AZ | In-Office | Monday - Friday



A well-established general contractor that is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to manage and track critical project and contract documentation. This role is essential to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of key project documents.


We are looking for someone with experience in construction project coordination/admin support, including contracts, subcontracts, document control / coordination, tracking systems, logs, or spreadsheets.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role that works closely with the Assistant Controller and accounting team to ensure accurate billing, financial workflows, and project documentation.


Success in This Role Requires

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Comfort managing multiple deadlines and tracking logs
  • Confidence coordinating across teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work within structured processes


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of project documentation including:
    • Subcontracts
    • Purchase Orders
    • Subcontract Change Orders
    • Owner Change Order Requests and Change Orders
  • Draft and prepare documents for internal and external use
  • Coordinate and obtain approvals to proceed
  • Maintain and update document logs and tracking systems
  • Distribute document packages and manage execution via DocuSign
  • Track status of all outstanding documents and follow up proactively
  • Ensure fully executed documents are properly logged and archived
  • Distribute finalized documents to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain accuracy and organization across all document workflows


Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently
  • Experience with document control, contracts, or construction administration preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and document tracking systems
  • Experience with DocuSign or similar platforms is a plus
