Job description

We are a global digital agency comprised of strategists, creatives, media experts, data scientists, and engineers driven by one common purpose - accelerate business growth through marketing and digital transformation. Named a top 3% Google Premier Partner and recognized by Inc. 5000 and Adweek's 75 Fastest Growing Companies, we're constantly looking for "A" players to join our team.
The rapid growth is attributed to our strongest asset - our people. Our teams are highly collaborative and work closely with each client to set clear goals and objectives so that we can deliver exceptional results. Mindgruve is a place where every opinion is valued. Not only will you be empowered to contribute ideas, but you will also play a key role in the execution and driving success for brands across a variety of industries. Sound fun? Perfect - you'll fit right in.
Mindgruve is seeking an SEO Manager to join our growing SEO team. This is an individual contributor role with high impact: you'll help lead strategies across new and existing accounts, own technical and content SEO execution, and help shape how SEO is delivered across the agency.
You'll work alongside a growing team of senior and junior SEO resources, and collaborate closely with Earned and Paid-Media teams, including PR, Content, Social, and Paid Search teams. If you thrive in environments where your voice is heard and your ideas are implemented, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do Here:
  • Lead SEO strategies for your clients - including execution, adaptation, and ongoing evaluation
  • Drive keyword research, gap analysis, and competitive audits
  • Help evolve our SEO processes, templates, and quality standards
  • Oversee technical SEO initiatives - including site structure, internal linking, and on-page optimization - to improve crawlability, indexation, and overall site performance
  • Collaborate with content, design, development, and analytics teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated throughout the organization
  • Partner closely with our Content and PR teams to align on-page, authority, and editorial efforts
  • Provide regular reports and presentations on SEO performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Analyze and monitor performance, identify trends, and develop data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategy adjustments
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing
  • Create and adapt SEO narratives and tactics to the AI landscape, ensuring future-forward SEO, not just the SEO playbooks of yesterday
We Need a Person With:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 4+ years of SEO experience (agency, or a hybrid of agency + freelance/consulting)
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical SEO: auditing, internal linking, schema, pagination, JS rendering, and CWV remediation
  • Proven strength in keyword research and content strategy
  • Hands-on experience with on-page optimization
  • Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Reporting and performance storytelling - turning data into a narrative
  • Experience creating or optimizing repeatable SEO processes
  • Familiarity with core SEO tools: GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog
  • Strong organizational skills, and experience in project management platforms like Asana
  • Experience optimizing for AI / LLMs
  • Experience working with link-building vendors is a plus
  • Experience applying AI-driven automation within SEO workflows is a plus
  • Experience with process standardization at scale is a plus

Compensation:
  • Salary: $75,00 - $85,000 (Pay range is based on a market reference point and potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, experience and geographic location of the individual candidate. The compensation range reflects base rate only.)

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; voluntary life and accident plans; and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching. We have six office locations in the US: San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California, Covington, Kentucky, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our office's; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work. (Bonus points if you're bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese.)
Mindgruve is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
