Engagement Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEO Consultant for an initial three month contract engagement to provide hands on support for our newly hired SEO Manager during a period of high project volume. This role will help execute SEO initiatives across five fitness and wellness brands, with a focus on improving organic search performance, supporting content optimization, and accelerating key SEO projects. There may be an opportunity to extend the engagement beyond the initial three month term based on business needs.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical SEO expertise, experience with AI driven search and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and can quickly integrate into a fast paced marketing team. This is a highly collaborative, execution focused role that partners with Brand, Content, Digital Marketing, and Technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the SEO Manager to execute SEO initiatives across five consumer brands.
- Perform keyword research and support content optimization for organic search performance.
- Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, and site architecture using SEO best practices.
- Support Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives to improve brand visibility within AI powered search experiences, including Google AI Overviews, Gemini, ChatGPT, and other emerging platforms.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and identify opportunities to improve crawlability, indexing, site performance, and user experience.
- Analyze SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AI search tracking platforms, and other reporting tools.
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and engagement metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with Content, Brand, Marketing, and Technology teams to implement SEO recommendations.
- Perform content audits and recommend updates to improve search visibility and user engagement.
- Stay current on search algorithm updates, AI search trends, and evolving SEO best practices.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and scalable SEO processes that support ongoing optimization efforts.
Qualifications

- Five or more years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrated success improving organic search performance.

- Experience executing SEO strategies in competitive consumer, retail, ecommerce, or franchise environments.

- Experience utilizing the “Profound” platform preferred.

- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on page optimization, keyword strategy, and content optimization.

- Experience with AI powered search and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

- Proficiency with industry standard SEO and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and keyword research platforms.

Experience working within content management systems.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

- Excellent written, verbal, and cross functional communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities across several brands in a fast paced environment.

- Experience supporting multi brand organizations or franchise businesses is preferred.

Contract Details

- Initial three month contract engagement.

- Immediate start preferred.

- Opportunity to work closely with the SEO Manager to accelerate high priority initiatives across five brands during a period of increased workload.

- This engagement may be extended beyond the initial three month term based on business needs, project priorities, and individual performance. Any extension is at the Company's discretion and is not guaranteed.
