Job description

Great digital experiences rely on well-managed content. Join our growing team as a Product Content Operations Coordinator to help keep our content accurate, organized, and ready to support learners through school and life.
In this role, you'll coordinate content updates, manage information in our content tools, and conduct quality reviews. You'll also help improve the processes that keep everything running smoothly. Along the way, you'll build valuable experience in content management and product operations.
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy bringing order to complexity, finding better ways to work, spotting details often missed, and learning new technologies.
This hybrid position is based at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. You'll generally work in the office three days each week and remotely two days each week.

Job Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, you may do the following.
  • Coordinate and execute publishing activities for product content across AES platforms and experiences, including adding existing content into various software products.
  • Maintain content inventories, metadata, tagging structures, and content documentation.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure product content is accurate, consistent, accessible, and aligned with established standards.
  • Support content maintenance efforts by identifying, updating, archiving, and removing content as needed.
  • In collaboration with others, support content governance, publishing priorities, content lifecycle management, and content-related product enhancements.
  • Coordinate content workflows, publishing schedules, reviews, approvals, and dependencies among content strategists, subject matter experts, product teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with content audits, inventory assessments, and content evaluation activities.
  • Monitor content quality and identify opportunities to improve content organization, discoverability, usability, and customer experience.
  • In collaboration with others, support content-related feature development and enhancement efforts by gathering requirements, conducting testing, documenting feedback, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the implementation and documentation of content processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve content operations, workflow efficiency, content quality, and customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
A highly qualified candidate will possess the following.
Education and Professional Experience
  • Knowledge equivalent to a degree in information science, technical communication, user experience, communications, digital media, marketing, English, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in content management, digital communications, publishing, web operations, marketing, user experience, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting product content publishing, website maintenance, content management, or related activities.
  • Experience working with content management systems, content technologies, or other digital platforms.
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
