Job Description
The Director of Content creates synergy amongst internal teams, external partners, and client stakeholders to carryout best-in-class content programs. Furthermore, the Director will utilize their knowledge of content, content strategy, and the advertisement/vendor landscape to build and strengthen top tier content partnerships and leverage the best investment options possible.
Must haves include at least 7 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships amongst internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience within digital media and will be able to bring a strong, creative point-of-view to the table as it relates to creating campaigns that resonate with target audience.
This role is part of a creative, collaborative team that encourages out-of-the-box thinking, innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current media industry news and brand business (current and historical perspectives) with a focus on upstream initiatives

  • Apply your experience to elevate strategic thinking across the portfolio and set appropriate learning agenda elements

  • Partner with creatives during idea generation to identify potential for content in today's landscape through the lens of our consumer

  • Work with Experience Planners to extend creative ideas through additional content

  • Establish content best practice in service of increasing advertising effectiveness

  • Work with Experience Planner and Brand Strategist, identify the role of content at a platform, target or partner level within the Experience Plan

  • Work directly with the lead creatives, ensuring the execution will drive effectiveness based on consumer behavior and best practice within the channel

  • In partnership with Investment team, recommend how much content an experience plan can support given budget and reach sufficiency goals

  • In partnership with Production, recommend what needs to be captured on the shoot, where to source it from, and ensure each execution is fit for purpose

  • Work with Influencers or Media Publishers to produce branded content

  • Actively participate in priority brand meetings, action the learnings and insight by working directly with the creative teams to implement content changes

  • Facilitate team building through collaboration, open communication, and focused project management to assure that assignments are executed in a timely manner

  • Provide vision, direction, management and support to individuals within the team to ensure their work aligns with our mission and goals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field

  • 7+ years of media experience

  • Previous team management experience with progressing leadership responsibilities

  • Ability to strategically plan campaigns from audience determination, through how to best flight and execute campaigns to align with clients strategic goals and KPIs

  • Strong understanding of analytics to inform and validate planning and strategy

  • History of identifying media opportunities, presenting them to clients, and executing

  • Experience monitoring and recommending improvements to the entire media planning process

  • Ensuring people are adopting the best in class tools, techniques, systems to deliver effective media processes

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal along with visual storytelling), diplomacy, and relationship building and decision making skills with the ability to think creatively.

Compensation Range: USD $129,485.00 - USD $186,060.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
