Job description

Director of Content – CTH – SFO, CA

We’re looking for a senior content leader to build and scale a modern content engine that positions a leading private markets platform as a trusted voice for investors, operators, and institutions. This is not a content maintenance role — it’s about building editorial direction, storytelling systems, and scalable content programs that drive brand authority and business impact.

You’ll define the editorial voice, turn proprietary data and research into compelling narratives, and create repeatable content formats that consistently deliver insight across channels. The role blends strategy, execution, and hands-on editorial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the editorial voice and storytelling standards across all content, ensuring consistency, clarity, and authority
  • Build scalable content programs and franchises (research-led insights, market commentary, educational series) that drive ongoing audience engagement
  • Develop and execute a full-funnel content strategy supporting awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention
  • Lead content operations including editorial planning, calendars, prioritization, and performance tracking
  • Translate complex private market data and financial concepts into clear, compelling, audience-ready narratives
  • Partner closely with product, research, and leadership teams to surface differentiated insights and thought leadership
  • Oversee end-to-end content production across internal teams, freelancers, and agencies
  • Define and implement content performance metrics and continuously optimize based on insights
  • Design and integrate AI-enabled workflows to improve speed, consistency, and scale while maintaining editorial quality

Required Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of experience leading content strategy, editorial programs, or content marketing in a B2B or financial services environment
  • Strong editorial judgment with experience building high-impact storytelling across multiple formats (web, research, video, campaigns)
  • Experience working with complex financial, data-heavy, or regulated subject matter
  • Understanding of financial audiences including investors, institutions, and wealth segments (HNW/UHNW a plus)
  • Proven ability to build content systems that scale beyond one-off assets
  • Hands-on operator who can both set strategy and execute high-quality content personally
  • Experience with content performance tracking and audience growth strategies
  • Practical understanding of AI tools in modern content workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in private markets, asset management, fintech, or financial media
  • Familiarity with tools like Heap, Looker, AirOps, Figma, or data visualization platforms like Flourish
  • Experience collaborating with external creators, analysts, or financial influencers
  • CFA or FINRA certification is a plus
    Job Type: CTH
    Duration: 6 M
    Conversion to FTE: Yes
    Location: SFO, CA
    Work Arrangement: Hybrid
