Role Description:
The Head of Content Marketing and Communications will lead the development and execution of Nomura Asset Management's integrated content and communications strategy, elevating the firm's visibility, strengthening its brand narrative, and supporting commercial growth across our investment platform.
This individual will oversee the creation and distribution of thought leadership, investment insights, and strategic messaging that positions Nomura Asset Management as a trusted voice in global markets. Working in close partnership with investment teams, product strategy, distribution, and marketing leaders, the role will drive a coordinated content ecosystem that translates market expertise into clear, actionable insights for clients and financial advisors.
The Head of Content Marketing and Communications will also lead the firm's internal and external communications and media relations strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across all audiences and strengthening the organization's presence across earned media, industry commentary, and executive visibility.
This role will establish an integrated operating model spanning content strategy, editorial development, digital amplification, and media engagement. The team will partner closely with marketing and distribution teams to activate investment themes through coordinated campaigns, thought leadership, and client-facing content that supports advisor engagement and client conversations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and leading the firm's content marketing and communications strategy.
  • Establishing clear investment narratives and thematic campaigns aligned with market insights and commercial priorities.
  • Overseeing the creation and promotion of thought leadership, investment commentary, education and client-facing content across digital and traditional channels.
  • Leading internal and external communications, including executive messaging, organizational communications, and firm announcements.
  • Managing media relations, our agency partners and earned media strategy to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership presence.
  • Partnering with investment leaders and subject matter experts to translate complex market views into accessible, compelling content.
  • Driving distribution and amplification strategies across digital channels, social media, and client-facing platforms.
  • Building and leading a high-performing team across content strategy, copywriting, communications, and media relations

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content strategy, or media relations within financial services, asset management, or investment-related industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing integrated marketing and communications teams, including content strategy, editorial, media relations, and digital amplification across owned and paid channels.
  • Experience designing content ecosystems that support modern discovery and distribution, including search optimization and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms.
  • Deep understanding of asset management, investment markets, and the needs of institutional and wealth management audiences.
  • Proven ability to translate complex investment insights into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with clients, financial advisors, and the media.
  • Experience developing and executing thought leadership platforms that position firms and executives as market authorities.
  • Strong relationships with financial media and experience managing proactive and reactive media engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional storytelling, messaging, and editorial judgment, with the ability to shape narratives across multiple channels and audiences.
