Job description

Director of Content Marketing
Location: Remote, USA
Department: Marketing
About Syllo
Syllo is defining the Litigation AI category. We are the first unified platform designed to autonomously manage the entire litigation lifecycle end-to-end. Founded in 2019 by a team of litigators and engineers, Syllo enables legal teams to securely harness the power of AI across any matter, regardless of complexity or scale. Our technology supports Fortune 500 companies and AmLaw 200 firms managing their most complex litigation portfolios. Awarded ILTA Transformative Project of the Year and ALM eDiscovery Technology of the Year for 2026, we are the market leader in enterprise-grade litigation AI. Backed by top-tier VCs, we are at a clear inflection point - the team has doubled in the last six months and growth is accelerating.
About the role
Build the content program that earns Syllo's authority in the Litigation AI category.
This role owns Syllo's content marketing function - responsible for the editorial strategy, content production, distribution, and measurement that build Syllo's credibility with attorneys, legal operations professionals, and litigation technology buyers. You will develop the editorial calendar, manage the content team, and produce the long-form, short-form, and thought leadership content that drives organic pipeline and category authority.
Content at Syllo is not a support function for demand generation - it is a primary channel. Legal professionals read before they buy, and the content that earns their trust is precise, substantive, and written for practitioners, not for search algorithms. The Director of Content Marketing builds the program that earns that trust at scale.
We are looking for a director who edits as well as strategizes - someone who can hold a high editorial standard, develop writers, and produce content that a senior attorney would read by choice. Prior experience writing for or marketing to legal audiences is a significant advantage.
What you will do
  • Own the content strategy: Develop and maintain the editorial calendar, content pillars, and distribution strategy that position Syllo as the authoritative voice in Litigation AI.
  • Build and manage the content team: Hire, develop, and manage content writers, editors, and subject matter contributors. Hold a high editorial standard on every output.
  • Produce flagship content: Own the long-form content program - white papers, research reports, case studies, and practitioner guides - that earns Syllo credibility with senior legal audiences.
  • Develop the thought leadership program: Support Syllo executives and subject matter experts in developing published content, conference presentations, and media placements.
  • Drive organic pipeline: Build the SEO and content-led growth strategy that generates inbound pipeline from attorneys and legal operations professionals actively researching the category.
  • Measure content performance: Define and track the metrics that connect content to pipeline - organic traffic, lead quality, content-attributed opportunities, and customer engagement.
  • Partner across the team: Align content production with demand generation campaigns, sales enablement needs, product launches, and customer success programs.

What you bring
  • Editorial standard: You write and edit at a level appropriate for a senior legal audience. Content from your team does not read like vendor marketing - it reads like expertise.
  • Legal or professional services content experience: You have produced content for attorneys, compliance professionals, or financial services buyers - audiences that require precision and will notice when it is missing.
  • Long-form content production: You have owned the white paper, research report, and practitioner guide format - from brief through publication. You know what makes them worth reading.
  • SEO and distribution fluency: You understand how to build a content program that generates organic pipeline, not just brand impressions. You have done it before.
  • Team development: You develop writers, hold an editorial standard without rewriting everything yourself, and build a team that improves over time.
  • Content operations: You run an editorial calendar, manage contributors, maintain a consistent publishing cadence, and track performance without losing the plot.
  • Cross-functional partnership: You translate the needs of Sales, Product, and CS into content that serves both internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Experience and qualifications
  • 6+ years in content marketing or editorial roles, with at least 2 years managing a content team at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Demonstrated track record of building content programs that drive organic pipeline and category authority.
  • Published writing samples in a legal, technology, or professional services context required.
  • Experience with SEO strategy, content distribution platforms, and marketing analytics tools.
  • Legal industry knowledge or prior experience at a legal technology company is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field preferred.

Total rewards and benefits
At Syllo, we believe in taking care of our team so they can focus on building the future of legal tech.
Compensation: Competitive base salary + equity options.
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and voluntary insurance options. Vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Access to benefit counselors and fitness class reimbursements.
Growth: Annual learning and development budget and real career growth in a fast-scaling organization.
Equal opportunity employer
We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We provide a fair and accessible hiring process. If you require accommodations during the application or interview stage, please let us know.
