About This Job

The First Vice President (FVP) of Unsecured Consumer Lending serves as the business unit leader responsible for driving growth, performance, profitability, lead optimization, operational efficiency, and customer experience. This role leads the development and execution of strategies to deepen engagement with existing customers, enhance loan origination efficiency, and deliver high-quality, profitable loan production. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with deep expertise in consumer lending and a passion for building scalable, customer-centric programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Results and Business Unit Profitability: Accountable for business unit production and financial results.
  • Strategic Leadership and Execution: Identity and recommend strategic opportunities for growth and optimization of our Unsecured Loan products. Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans to achieve loan origination volume and customer engagement targets.
  • Product & Program Management: Develop and refine the personal loan offer framework, enhancing personalization, eligibility criteria, and customer experience to improve conversion rates and profitability. Utilize testing, analytics, and innovation to continuously optimize offer performance and funnel efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Retail Credit, Marketing, Compliance, Product, Banking, and Technology teams to align on goals, performance metrics, forecasts, and portfolio objectives. Ensure a seamless, member-centric experience throughout the loan issuance and offer lifecycle by fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance: Ensure operational excellence in all loan issuance processes and third-party partner integrations. Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements, upholding high standards of quality and risk management.
  • Performance Reporting: Lead regular business reviews and performance updates with senior leadership. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for accelerating growth and improving portfolio performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred (Advanced degree is a plus.)
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer lending, unsecured lending, or a closely related financial services field, with a track record of driving product or portfolio growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform strategy, set performance targets, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing projects or teams. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in areas such as credit/risk, marketing, compliance, product management, banking operations, and technology.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate insights and strategies to both technical teams and senior executives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A passion for innovation and delivering a superior customer experience in lending.
