Scott Credit Union is hiring a Consumer Loan Associate in Edwardsville, IL to support our lending operations and deliver exceptional member service. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in consumer lending, and skilled at managing loan documentation while providing a high level of member support. Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Saturday
Work Location Status: Fully on-site for the first 30-90 days at the Edwardsville, IL Headquarters. After successful completion of probationary period, position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work.
*Employees in hybrid or remote roles may be required to return on-site periodically for meetings, events, or other work-related needs as determined by their manager.
About the Role
Responsible for clerical assistance to the Consumer Loan Department for entering dealer loan applications. System input of dealer contract information to assist in timely disbursement to our indirect dealers for loan proceeds. Ability to communicate effectively with dealers and current members to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

What You'll Do
  • Enter loan contracts received from dealers and Consumer Loan Department into the credit union's lending system for funding, after verification of complete documents. This may include calling or e-mailing dealers and/or members for additional information.
  • Verification of completed loan packets to ensure the credit union's platform system information is complete and accurate, all documents are completed and accurate, and the checklist and manner of payment is verified.
  • Enter notes int he credit union's lending system on status of loans.
  • Clerical work to include denial letters, envelopes, needed documents from members, accurate list of dealers, verification of dealer reserve, packets for new and existing dealers, maintenance of files for new and existing dealers, and other miscellaneous clerical needs.
  • New accounts entered into the credit union's platform system, membership cards completed with all information and signed properly, follow up with members and/or dealers if these things aren't completed, sending out thank you/welcome letters with information on SCU and a member ID.
  • Verification and distribution of payoff checks from dealers. Ordering of titles from file room or title storage system.
  • File and release liens as applicable.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One-year experience working within a financial institution or customer service industry.
  • Personal computer experience to include Microsoft Windows applications.
