Pet Parent Insights Manager - Wet Dog

Are you passionate about understanding what makes pet parents tick? We're looking for a Pet Parent Insights Manager to be the voice of our consumer for ourwet dog food business line, leading the charge in generating deep insights that will directly shape the future of our brands in this key portfolio. In this role, you will be a key partner to our Mars Pet Nutrition Growth Strategy and Brand Teams, transforming consumer research and data into powerful strategies that fuel our innovation pipeline and drive business growth. This is a hands-on position that blends strategic thinking with executional excellence, allowing you to own research from start to finish and see your recommendations come to life. If you love connecting the dots between diverse data sources and are driven to turn insights into measurable impact, this is the perfect opportunity to make your mark.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years in consumer insights, market research, or a related role.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and executing primary research (quantitative and qualitative).
  • Proven ability to translate consumer insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources (research, behavioral, secondary data) into cohesive insights.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (marketing, category, strategy).
  • Nice-to-haves:
    • Experience in CPG or other consumer-driven industries.
    • Familiarity with modern research methodologies (social listening, digital analytics, AI-enabled tools).
    • Experience supporting innovation pipelines or portfolio strategy.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive learning plansthat deliver foundational and forward-looking consumer understanding to inform growth strategy, portfolio prioritization, and innovation pipelines for our wet dog food business line.
  • Lead and execute primary consumer research, ensuring studies are aligned with brand and portfolio priorities and deliver clear, actionable outcomes.
  • Assess total portfolio learning needs, partnering with PGT Leads and Market Insights associates to determine when new research is required versus leveraging existing knowledge.
  • Integrate multiple data sourcesincluding social listening, ratings & reviews, consumer care, AI-driven insights, and other secondary data into a cohesive understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Act as theprimary expert on pet parent behavior within the wet dog food category, representing both observed behaviors and the underlying motivations (the "why" behind their actions).
  • Develop independent POVs and recommendationsbased on research and insights, clearly connecting findings to business implications and opportunities.
  • Drive insights into actionby proactively pushing recommendations to execution, tracking outcomes, and engaging cross-functional teams to support delivery.
  • Partner closely with PGT Leads, Shopper & Solutions Insights, Category, and Customer Teamsto ensure consumer insights are fully embedded into growth strategies.
