Responsibilities
The Consumer Lending Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing a modern, high-impact roadmap for the bank's payment and consumer lending products for the consumer, small business and wealth segments. This role leads complex, cross-functional initiatives, manages vendor and network relationships, and drives performance through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate brings deep consumer lending expertise, strong execution leadership, and the ability to independently deliver end-to-end product outcomes that improve client experience and business performance.
Key Accountabilities
Product Strategy, Roadmap & Market Intelligence
  • Own and evolve the end-to-end product roadmap-spanning personal loans, lines of credit, installment lending and other lending-related products and features. debit, credit, digital wallets, real-time payments, and lending-related payment experiences.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive and market analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and differentiation opportunities.
  • Integrate client research, behavioral insights, and lifecycle performance data to inform prioritization.
  • Develop business cases and articulate the strategic rationale behind roadmap investments.

Delivery Leadership & Technical Execution
  • Independently lead cross-functional initiatives from discovery through launch, ensuring clarity of scope, requirements, timelines, and success measures.
  • Translate business needs into technical and operational requirements
  • Oversee testing, QA, risk assessments, and issue resolution to ensure frictionless client experiences.
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Fraud, Compliance, and Risk to deliver secure, compliant, scalable solutions.

Commercialization, Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new features, enhancements, and lending-related capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Enablement to develop positioning, frontline training, product collateral, and adoption strategies.
  • Support pricing strategy, profitability optimization, and value proposition development.
  • Champion client and frontline feedback to refine offerings and improve engagement.

Vendor, Network & Performance Management
  • Manage vendor/service performance, including delivery timelines, SLAs, and network rule adherence.
  • Build and maintain product scorecards and dashboards; evaluate KPIs across penetration, utilization, performance, and client behavior.
  • Recommend enhancements based on data-driven insights and partner feedback.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in financial services or retail banking.
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending products, regulatory considerations and emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex product initiatives and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with vendor management, integrations, and third-party financial services platforms.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting sales enablement and go-to-market execution preferred.
