Senior Estimator / Project Manager - Design-Build Construction
Location: Cincinnati OH (Metro)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct-Hire
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Manager to lead design-build construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for project estimating, budgeting, financial management, scheduling, and overall project execution while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing industrial, commercial, retail, and office construction projects with a strong background in estimating, project management, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and project budgets for design-build construction projects
  • Review project scope, solicit subcontractor pricing, and prepare competitive proposals
  • Manage projects from conceptual design through construction and final closeout
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, cost performance, and overall profitability
  • Manage project contracts, change orders, and financial reporting
  • Obtain required permits and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project requirements
  • Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong relationships throughout project execution
  • Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule, budget, and quality objectives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction estimating and project management experience
  • Experience managing design-build construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Strong understanding of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and project financial management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with industrial, commercial, retail, or office construction projects
  • Experience with Procore, ComputerEase, or similar construction management software
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling software and project controls
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams and subcontractor coordination
