Job description

Established mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC construction, installation and maintenance for the NY Tri-State area is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of an Accounts Payable Manager on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Controller.


Description:

  • Responsible for all Accounts Payable activities for the company.
  • Coordinate all payments made to vendors.
  • Review and process invoices associated with purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Perform accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding accounts payable from vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Act as a liaison between Project Managers and Vendors.
  • Track and upload all certified payroll that is submitted by contractors to the general contractors portal.


Qualification:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts payable with a working background in a construction company or related industry.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should be well versed in computer usage and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Sage software is a plus.
