Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location: Columbus OH
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct-Hire
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while serving as the primary field leader and partnering closely with Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all onsite construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and daily field operations
  • Oversee project safety, quality control, jobsite security, and compliance with company standards
  • Implement and maintain project schedules while monitoring progress and resolving field issues
  • Manage inspections, permits, punch lists, as-built documentation, and daily project reporting
  • Lead project meetings with subcontractors, field staff, and project stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop Field Engineers and Assistant Superintendents
  • Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, subcontractor procurement, and business development efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent construction experience
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Strong leadership, scheduling, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, field operations, and project schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large commercial, multi-family, or K–12 construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, quality control, and field operations
  • Experience mentoring field personnel and leading high-performing project teams
