IT Support Technician - Job Description
The IT Support Technician will manage all aspects of Vega's IT infrastructure, including but not limited to, phone systems, virtual environment, networking, and server hardware ensuring SLA for production and non-production environments. Position will also require work with customer systems, both remote and onsite including traveling to clients location for software installation and maintenance.
IT Support Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain, monitor and support all aspects of networks, systems and infrastructure with emphasis in:
- VMWare vSphere infrastructure
- NAS/SAN storage
- Asterisk PBX and SIP devices
- Routers and firewalls
- Network cabling
- Microsoft Exchange
- LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SQL
- Mobile devices
- Third-party hardware and software
• Provide help desk support for internal users. Register and process support tickets.
• Work with external vendors resolving product issues
• Install Vega and third-party products internally and at customer sites
Training and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with at least three years of relevant work experience.
