Job description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Define, own, and execute the product portfolio and roadmap for critical core technology products, leading a cross-functional engineering team (Electrical, Firmware, FPGA, Test) to deliver robust embedded compute solutions for vehicle management, DSP, and networking.
  • Drive and oversee the full hardware product development lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition through architecture, design, development, bring-up, test, integration, support and sustainment for high-performance PCBs, including host boards for FPGAs / SoCs / SoMs.
  • Establish and optimize comprehensive product development workflows and best practices across the hardware and firmware lifecycle, encompassing architecture, design, simulation, verification, and system testing.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders, product management, and customers to define product requirements, develop strategic roadmaps, and ensure scalable deployment of core technology solutions across Anduril.
  • Manage and communicate detailed product development schedules, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring clear task assignments, accountability, and timely execution within the cross-functional team.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive or similar hardware.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional hardware and/or embedded systems product development teams, taking products from concept to deployment.
  • Proficiency in an HDL language (VHDL, Verilog)
  • Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies.
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
  • Experience in design for signal integrity / power integrity.
  • Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
  • Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tool
  • Familiarity with flight software architectures and development processes for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with high reliability designs in aerospace environments
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems architectures, especially with redundant systems
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software design principles, particularly for flight-critical applications.
  • Understanding and familiarity with DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A
  • Understanding and familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461
  • Expertise in computer networking
  • Experience with implementing enhanced security measures
