Job Description

We are seeking a Data Center Technician to support hardware validation, testing, system assembly, and laboratory operations within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys working with computer hardware, test equipment, and system-level troubleshooting while supporting the development and validation of advanced computing technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and configuring server systems, performing validation testing, collecting and documenting test results, and supporting hardware debugging activities. This individual will work closely with engineering teams to ensure systems are properly built, tested, maintained, and ready for development and validation activities. The role also includes lab organization, inventory management, and shipping/receiving support to maintain efficient lab operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble, build, and install bench-top development platforms and server systems.
• Perform system validation testing and document test results.
• Support board and module screening activities during validation and debug processes.
• Connect and operate oscilloscopes to capture and analyze signal waveforms.
• Assist with hardware troubleshooting and system-level debugging.
• Prepare electronic boards for detailed solder rework activities.
• Perform basic mechanical modifications using hand and power tools.
• Support shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities within the lab.
• Maintain organized workspaces, equipment, and laboratory inventory.
• Assist with 3D printing of fixtures, components, and prototype modifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support hardware development and validation efforts.
• Identify opportunities to improve lab efficiency and operational processes.

Required Experience/Skills

• Associate Degree, Bachelor''s Degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an electronics lab, testing lab, validation lab, or hardware engineering environment.
• Experience assembling, configuring, and testing computer hardware or server systems.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware troubleshooting principles.
• Experience using oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with Linux command-line operations.
• Strong system-level debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
