Apex Pharmacy Solutions is growing its sterile compounding capacity and seeks an experienced Independent High-Risk Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician. This advanced role requires demonstrated expertise in high-risk CSP preparation, cleanroom environmental monitoring, and strict adherence to USP <797> compliance - performed with a high degree of independence under pharmacist supervision.

Key
ResponsibilitiesHigh-Risk Compounding
- Independently execute high-risk sterile compounding procedures under pharmacist supervision in cleanroom setting.
- Prepare complex CSPs including high-risk category compounds per USP <797> and batch records.
- Perform garbing and gowning in full compliance with USP <797> requirements.
- Execute sterile techniques: syringe fills, and vial pooling
Environmental Monitoring & Documentation
- Conduct and document environmental monitoring: air sampling, surface sampling, and sterility testing.
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and decontamination of cleanroom and all compounding equipment.
- Maintain complete batch records and compounding documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to appropriate personnel.
- Complete all required competency validations, training, and annual assessments.
Work Environment
Full shift in bunny suit garb and goggles in sterile cleanroom. Frequent sitting: lifting โค25 lbs. Weekends and overtime may be required. PPE adherence mandatory.
QualificationsRequired- Texas Pharmacy Technician license (TSBP).
- CPhT certification (PTCB).
- ACPE Sterile Products / IV Certification.
- Demonstrated high-risk sterile compounding experience.
- Deep knowledge of USP <797> standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
- 1+ years IV/sterile compounding.
- 503A high-risk cleanroom environment experience.
- Knowledge of cGMP (21 CFR 210/211).
- ASHP Compounded Sterile Preparations training.
- Knowledge of LifeFile pharmacy management software.
