Job description

Do you have basic maintenance skills and are ready to make a difference? TURN Community Services is looking for a dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team throughout Utah. It will require travel to program sites throughout the state (Brigham City to St. George).

This full-time position offers $20/hour and comprehensive benefits including:

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Some experience with general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting), floor care, remodeling, appliance repair, snow removal, lawn care, general landscaping, sprinkler repair, etc.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, work in all climates, climb heights not to exceed 30 feet, access attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas.
  • Has own basic hand tools to use at work.
  • Valid driver's license, current motor vehicle insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel to program sites throughout Utah.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

You will work along side the Director and Associate Director of Facilities at TURN's various locations including: Residential homes, day programs, and administration buildings. You will perform repairs and maintenance such as: Plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, floor care, remodeling, appliance repair, snow removal, lawn care, general landscaping, sprinkler repair, etc. You will assist programs to find resources, answer questions and work with facility landlords when there are needed repairs.

In this position you will need to be aware of your surroundings and those present to ensure the health and safety of the individuals supported by TURN. You will need to use compassion, patience, professionalism and good judgement while interacting with staff and clients at TURN locations during repairs, remodeling, inspections and when meetings with vendors.
