Senior Community Manager - Responsibilities:

The Senior Community Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure policies, procedures, and programs are effectively implemented. This role focuses on maintaining a well-managed property, prioritizing resident satisfaction, environmental health and safety, and high-quality service delivery in alignment with CRM and ownership objectives.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of properties and staff, including management of annual operating budgets and sales/marketing plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and funding programs (e.g., HUD, LIHTC, RD), including maintaining accurate resident files and preparing for inspections and audits.
  • Coordinate and participate in property tours and audits with agencies, investors, and auditors.
  • Monitor property office performance to ensure timely completion of required tasks such as recertifications, vouchers, and EIV processing.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate on-site staff, while managing performance and personnel development.
  • Oversee public relations, resident engagement, contract administration, and operational reporting, including statistical analysis.

Senior Community Manager - Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in affordable property management required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation required.
  • ARM, C3P, Tax Credit, and LIHTC certifications preferred.
  • STAR certification, if applicable.
  • Experience with Tax Credit and Section 8 programs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills required.
