Job description

Description:

1. Provide support across CP, Recreation, Wraparound, and 1:1 services while collaborating with and assisting all departments within Sunshine Services to ensure consistent, person-centered support and effective program operations.

2. Conduct pre-planning weekly. Develop maximum enrichment focus for community activities tailored to individuals using a person-centered approach, applying interview and formal assessments as needed.

3. Find and implement new opportunities for individuals to explore, experience, and gain exposure in all elements of activities, educational materials, lessons, volunteer opportunities, and community-based experiences.

4. Explore volunteer opportunities in the community for participants and develop partnerships. Act as a Sunshine Services Ambassador and broadcast program information to enhance community outreach.

5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participation and progress in community day program and recreation for persons supported.

6. Support individuals with participation and transportation to and from community day program and recreation activities.

7. Complete reports as scheduled; manage time professionally. Seek any formal training opportunities.

8. Represents Sunshine Services in a positive and professional manner in community meetings, events and social functions. Set example for individual supported and peers to follow.

9. Assist with maintaining documentation required for participation in Special Olympics including record of scores for competition registration. Facilitate practices and serve as a coach as needed.

10. Represent Sunshine Services in a professional and positive manner at community events, networking opportunities, public meetings, and collaborative partnerships while promoting the agency's mission and services.

11. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Community Services or Executive Director to support the mission and operational goals of Sunshine Services.

Requirements:

Complete certification classes for Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel. Complete all required DDA training in a timely manner. Maintain certifications and complete refresher training annually. Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and be insurable by the agency insurance company.
