Sunshine Counseling Center is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Mental Health Therapists who are passionate about providing top-notch mental health services. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while serving clients from the community. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some adaptation possible based on patient needs. Our remote setting is equipped with innovative tools and technologies that support communication and collaboration, ensuring you remain connected to your colleagues and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to craft personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Implement various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other effective techniques to facilitate positive change in clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring clarity and ethical practice.
• Collaborate with a dedicated and multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide holistic care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings aimed at enhancing the quality of care, sharing insights, and improving clinical practice.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower their recovery journey.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and advances in the mental health field, contributing to a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Sunshine Counseling Center serves a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. By understanding each individual’s circumstances, you will play an instrumental role in guiding them through their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or doctorate in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of California.
• Demonstrated proficiency in employing solution-based psychotherapy interventions, ensuring your therapeutic approach is client-centered and effective.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport, trust, and collaboration with clients and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
• A commitment to thriving in a collaborative environment, fostering mutual respect and support among team members.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a community health clinic or similar setting dealing with a wide array of mental health concerns.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices.
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
