Job Description

The Senior Investment Manager manages investment portfolios within established corporate guidelines, utilizing an approved strategies list approved by the BOKF Investment Committee.   Consults with Wealth Advisors and/or Trust Officers (if applicable) and client to develop investment strategies based on customer objectives.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will manage investment portfolios to balance returns and risk while aligning with client objectives.
  • You will communicate regularly with clients on portfolio performance, market activity, and economic trends.
  • You will follow all corporate risk and compliance standards in daily responsibilities.
  • You will present the firm’s investment approach and capabilities to internal and external audiences.
  • You will prepare and coordinate reports that support data analysis and investment insights.
  • You will collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality service with guidance from senior colleagues.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field of study and 3-5 years of directly related experience in investments and/or 6-8 years of experience in investments or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Experience in managing medium- to large-sized client accounts.
  • Experience in BOKF approved strategies
  • Understanding of investment tax reporting, including cost basis tracking and capital gains treatment
  • Knowledge of various securities and investment related products and services (i.e. stocks, bonds, mutual funds, separately managed accounts, international and alternative investments).
  • Knowledge of the different types of investment accounts (i.e. trust, retirement, agency, institutional, etc.) and levels of authority (i.e. directed, joint, discretionary, etc.) and the implications on trading activity
  • Ability to communicate with Investment Advisor, Trust Advisor, Relationship Manager, and/or professional staff (legal and tax counsel) regarding financial plans, investment strategies and the related tax implications of our proposed solutions
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities with the ability to independently manage and interpret data with a material downstream impact to clients and regulatory reporting
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills, including interpersonal skills
