ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we're looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don't shy away from humanity's challenges but are determined to help solve them.

AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you're designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger - technology that moves the world forward.

Responsibilities

THE TEAM:

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated Program Manager to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

THE ROLE:

In this highvisibility role, you will serve as the overall program leader for key engineering initiatives, guiding them from concept through execution. You will partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure program and product objectives are met across development, validation, and delivery phases.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate brings strong technical program management expertise and a proven track record of delivering complex software and hardware programs. You will have deep familiarity with validation processes, schedules, and dependencies, and will drive business planning activities that support growth and align with overall business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans based on guidance from management and senior technical leaders
  • Scope and evaluate the technical feasibility of new products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with software and hardware architects, validation teams, technical leads, and engineers
  • Lead endtoend program execution, including development and validation phases, ensuring alignment across hardware, firmware, software, and driver teams
  • Develop and manage integrated program schedules that account for drivers, software stack components, validation milestones, and hardware/firmware dependencies
  • Build, maintain, and execute comprehensive program plans with a strong focus on execution excellence
  • Establish and manage formal program management artifacts, including plans of record, statements of work, schedules, budgets, scope definitions, and performance and quality KPIs
  • Ensure excellence in resource planning across development and validation teams
  • Identify program and validation risks, define mitigation and prevention strategies, and proactively address issues to reduce engineering cost and schedule impact
  • Work effectively with senior executives and address requirements from Engineering, Product Management, Validation, and Customer Engineering organizations

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Several years of handson experience working with hardware and/or software validation teams, including test planning, execution, and readiness reviews
  • Strong understanding of requirements management, documentation management, defect tracking, and validation signoff processes
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical and validation concepts and translate discussions and meeting minutes into clear, actionable plans
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and validation topics to diverse stakeholders
  • Highly analytical, selfmotivated, organized, detailoriented, and resultsdriven
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and communicate progress regularly
  • Experience working in highpressure environments with competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Formal project management training; PMP certification is a plus
