Overview

CPMC is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Communication Strategist as part of an upcoming government program with the DHS USCIS Business Process Improvement and Management Support Services. This position is essential for developing and executing effective communication strategies that will enhance stakeholder engagement and support organizational objectives. The role is hybrid, requiring candidates to be local to the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, and does not require a security clearance. Familiarity with USCIS initiatives is a significant asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive communication strategies to support federal programs, focusing on internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Create messaging frameworks that align with organizational goals and facilitate clear, consistent communication across all levels.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to craft impactful messaging that resonates with diverse audiences, ensuring executivelevel communications are understandable and actionable.
  • Drive organizational change management initiatives by effectively communicating changes, benefits, and strategies to stakeholders to foster acceptance and minimize resistance.
  • Produce highquality written materials, including reports, presentations, and other communications, adapting style and tone for varied audiences.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment in messaging and to facilitate knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

    Experience: Minimum of 7 years developing and executing communication strategies for federal programs.

    Certifications: Prosci Change Management Certification or similar professional certification is preferred.

    Skills/Competencies:
  • Expertise in crafting executivelevel communications and messaging frameworks.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and organizational change management initiatives.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills tailored for diverse audiences.
