Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CES Doser Controls Engineer to join the Controls Engineering team, focusing on System-Level OBD Diagnostic Development for DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) dosing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in aftertreatment systems, emissions controls, diagnostics development, Simulink modeling, and system software validation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robust diagnostic solutions, investigate software issues, and support high-quality product development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop robust System-Level OBD Diagnostics for DEF dosing and aftertreatment systems.
  • Design diagnostics based on system-level understanding of failed part performance.
  • Support development of diagnostics for DEF quality, level, and temperature sensors.
  • Investigate software issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and document findings.
  • Develop and validate emissions control software features.
  • Perform system software testing, validation, and verification.
  • Review software designs and testing activities to ensure efficient, reusable, and high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and project teams.
  • Lead or support complex engineering projects and continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 6–12 years of experience in Controls Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Automotive Software Development.
  • Strong experience in OBD Diagnostics and Aftertreatment Systems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
