Job description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Escrow Officer to handle a high-volume desk.

Duties include opening, processing and closing commercial sale escrows. You must have the experience to handle a commercial sale from opening to close.

Excellent escrow knowledge and skillset is mandatory. You should be detailed, organized, able to multi-task and to prioritize your workload throughout the day. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner.

You should have a pleasant personality, as this position requires EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills. Stress management skills are essential for this position.

Rate of pay will be commensurate with experience and will take into account if you have your own book of business.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently open new escrows, send out welcome emails to clients and agents, send out wire instructions and open title orders
  • Order all reports/demands in a timely manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails quickly, maintaining good and clear communication with clients and agents
  • Send out requested cost estimates in a timely manner
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures regarding files and information
  • Get files closed on time. Balance and disburse files quickly

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Commercial Escrow Officer, with a minimum of 10 years experience as an escrow officer and at least 5 recent years handling a busy commercial desk
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
