Job description

Commercial Apprentice / Journeyman Electrician

Summit Service Solutions, a skilled trades staffing agency with over 20 years of experience serving the construction industry, is seeking experienced Commercial Electricians for long-term electrical construction projects throughout the Camden and South Jersey

area.

This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity paying $25–$35 per hour depending on experience. Projects include new commercial construction, renovations, and electrical upgrades.

**Core Responsibilities: **

Commercial Electrical Installation

  • Install EMT, Rigid, IMC, and flexible conduit
  • Bend and fabricate conduit using hand and mechanical benders
  • Pull and terminate branch circuit and feeder conductors
  • Install lighting systems, receptacles, switches, and electrical devices
  • Install panels, disconnects, transformers, and switchgear
  • Mount and wire electrical equipment

Blueprint & Layout

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams
  • Lay out conduit runs according to project specifications
  • Coordinate work with other trades

Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Test circuits and equipment using electrical testing instruments
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and make necessary repairs
  • Verify installations meet NEC requirements

Safety

  • Follow OSHA safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years of commercial electrical construction experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Demonstrated experience installing and bending EMT conduit.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
  • Must provide standard electrical hand tools and OSHA-compliant PPE.
  • Must comply with OSHA and NEC standards (OSHA certification preferred but not required)
  • Consent to a drug screen (we are a drug-free company)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
