Shift/Hours:

1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM


Orientation & Training: Monday, July 20, 2026 – 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM


Event Dates: Wednesday, July 22 – Sunday, July 26, 2026


We are excited to offer a temporary opportunity to be part of Comic-Con 2026! We are hiring Day Porters to help maintain a clean and safe environment inside the San Diego Convention Center. If you are energetic, observant, and customer-service oriented, this is a great way to gain event experience while working with a professional team.


Day Porter Job Duties include:


  • Keep floors clear of debris and maintain cleanliness in exhibit halls and public areas
  • Empty and replace trash bags, transport waste to designated bins
  • Break down cardboard boxes for recycling
  • Monitor designated areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and presentable
  • Collaborate with the team and assist attendees with basic questions or directions
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any safety or maintenance issues
  • Preferred Skills & Characteristics:
  • Previous experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or hospitality is a plus
  • Comfortable working around large crowds in a high-traffic environment
  • Friendly, approachable, and reliable
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Available to work all event days and required orientation


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
  • Ability to move throughout exhibit halls and between aisles in crowded environments
  • Work may involve exposure to airborne particles and varying indoor temperatures
  • Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities


Uniform Requirements:

  • Wear your own black pants (no leggings)
  • Closed-toe black or dark brown shoes suitable for walking
