This exciting role will be responsible for leading $1B+ annual retail sales across core categories including Toys, Collectibles and Impulse, working with both internal and external partners, across an extensive brand portfolio. If you have a strong background in Toy licensed retail account management along with extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic plans that deliver sustained growth, we hope you apply! This team member will be a key partner across the Disney Consumer Products, Retail Sales, Brand Commercialization, Category, Product Development and Creative teams.

This full time role sits onsite in Bentonville, AR and reports to the Director, NAM Retail Sales.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the development and implementation of brand-first strategies that drive long-term growth in assigned categories, including Toys, Collectibles, and Impulse

  • Meet and/or exceed financial goals set for assigned brands and categories across licensed

  • Lead all licensed and Direct to Retail initiatives in assigned categories, developing and demonstrating outstanding buyer and licensing relationships to meet/exceed revenue targets and growth objectives

  • Lead strategic implementation of all key category and brand initiatives in modular and feature space across licensing partners to achieve efficient assortment support, driving strong consumer demand that aligns with retailer strategic objectives

  • Develop and implement franchise evergreen programs that provide 365 support, while activating against key content and brand marketing moments for fan relevance

  • Vital team partner in the development of cross-category placement and feature space opportunities with Retail Brand Commercial/Walmart team peers

  • Leverage consumer, shopper and category insights to Identify key strategies by brand and by sub-category that deliver against critical initiatives

  • Identify market-share and white space opportunities for existing brands, categories and consumer segments, across new intellectual property, content events and evergreen brands

  • Implement strategies with alignment across Walmart merchants and respective licensing suppliers

  • Partner with Retail Marketing team, Brand Commercialization and National Marketing to develop and implement impactful retail marketing plans that deliver sell-through & return on investment objectives for strategic priorities. Collaborate with internal alliance partners to develop cohesive retail programs and unique opportunities

  • Build and sustain strong team-oriented relationships with Disney Consumer Product Category, Product Development and Creative teams to ensure strategic alignment by brand, category and initiative to meet financial objectives

  • Initiate and develop ownable, curated product line initiatives for the licensed categories

  • Fiscal responsibility for assigned categories to include annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting

  • Develop 5-year strategic plan, annually, by category and franchise, and set key objectives and priorities

  • Analyze & understand retail and consumer trends in the industry, specifically for relevant categories

  • Effectively manage travel and expenses to budget

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years' experience working in consumer product brand sales or buying; Toy category experience strongly preferred

  • Established experience in retail sales, brand and retail marketing strategies; preferably within mass channel

  • Understanding of interchangeable business models, such as Direct to Retail and licensed

  • Experience across multiple categories

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship building skills

  • Strong leadership skills, flexible/adaptable, very collaborative and able to influence and persuade at all levels of an organization

  • Innovative, capable of working independently and leading a variety of initiatives/issues simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business and financial concepts

  • Demonstrated computer literacy - Keynote, Excel, Word, etc

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position based in Bentonville, AR is $145,900.00-$195,600.00. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
