Job Summary:
Assists the HS Band Font/Color Guard Instructor with the teaching of music and art of performing to a small or full group of students throughout the Marching Band season.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the organization, management, teaching, and supervising students in the art of body movement, dance, and field guard equipment including rifles, sabers, silks, swing flags, and other props.
  • Assist with the writing and teaching of band front and color guard routines.
  • Assists with the planning and supervision of rehearsals in conjunction with, and in addition to, rehearsals on the calendar issued by the director.
  • Assists other members of the band staff in teaching drill and supervising students at rehearsals and performances.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the administration.

Education and Experience:
  • Other education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration
