Location: Troy, MI Shift: Monday–Friday, 3pm-11:30pm Pay: $21/hr
Job Summary
We are hiring a Coil Winder in Troy, MI to support transformer manufacturing operations. In this role, you will operate coil-winding machines, read blueprints, and ensure high-quality components are produced. This is a great opportunity for someone with coil winding experience looking for stability and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Read and follow work orders and blueprints to determine materials and parts needed
• Operate coil-winding machines to wind wire, copper foil, and sheet coils
• Use overhead cranes to move completed components
• Operate hand tools, power tools, shears, saws, and punches
• Read and interpret winding diagrams and specifications
• Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of coil-winding experience required
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
• High School Diploma required
• Ability to read, write, and follow work instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Forklift certification
• Experience with brake press or punch press
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and reliability
