As a Coffee Shop Attendant, you will carry out our Mission of Love by interacting with residents, customers and co-workers while providing prompt, courteous and friendly service in a safe and hygienic manner. As part of our team you will strive to provide the best quality dining service and an enjoyable dining experience for our residents in a clean, healthy, and safe environment.

Our Coffee Shop Attendant is responsible for the following:

  • Provides an enjoyable dining experience for our residents while maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Reports upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of the Masonic Village Residents. Inspects and monitors floor surfaces on a continual basis and takes corrective action to address spills upon first notice to maintain a safe environment.
  • Uses chemicals, cleaning agents, and equipment safely and effectively to accomplish assigned tasks in accordance with food safety regulations established by federal, state, local and private accreditation organizations. Uses best practices related to the safe and sanitary handling, preparation, storage, and service of foods, including proper hand washing, wearing gloves, changing gloves frequently, maintaining a clean uniform, sanitizing work surfaces and tools between uses, proper dating, labeling, and rotation of food products.
  • Completes meal service duties in a courteous and timely manner as assigned by supervisor in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Sets dining room to include table layout, place setting, and centerpiece while demonstrating knowledge of table assignments, table numbers, and locations. Portions all food items according to facility portion control policies, using proper utensils and wearing gloves. Uses creativity for food presentation. Restocks supplies, condiments, and foods to be served as needed. Restocks resident kitchens. Disposes of food waste in a safe and hygienic manner. Performs cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by supervisor, including serving special meals, banquets, and other functions.

What You Need as a Coffee Shop Attendant:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not necessary.
  • Willing and able to receive on the job training.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong written, oral and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • At least 16 years of age
