Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented beverage enthusiast/barista to prepare made-to-order specialty drink items accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and execute a variety of menu items by following established recipes and portioning guidelines. Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. Produce the beverage menu to standards and maintain a clean and organized work area. Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth, efficient service. Ensure that all menu items that leave your station meet Surf Bagel standards in terms of taste, appearance and portion size. Participate in cleaning and maintenance tasks, including equipment cleaning, dishwashing, and kitchen organization to uphold cleanliness standards and ensure a safe working environment.
Useful qualifications:
Proven experience working in a coffee shop or producing high quality beverages. Familiarity with operating and maintaining various kitchen equipment, espresso machines, coffee makers, blenders, shakers, etc.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet service demands and maintain a smooth workflow .
Strong focus on accuracy and precision to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements:
Read tickets accurately and quickly prepare menu items according to standards
Keep assigned area clean and walk-ins, reach-ins clutter free with restaurant issued cleaning supplies
Maintain master knowledge of food items and recipes
Label, restock, discard and maintain all food items to avoid service disruption
Adhere to essential food safety requirements
Follow kitchen safety guidelines
Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
