Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista/Coffee Shop to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare their coffee orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their drinks and time at our shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: 
  • Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile
  • Take food and beverage orders
  • Explain the menu items to customers
  • Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex
  • Prep and or prepare basic breakfast sandwiches
  • Prep and or prepare basic pastry irems 
  • Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
  • Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
  • Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications
  • Familiarity with food safety guidelines
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work weekends
