Barista Job summary:

A café barista is responsible for creating high-quality coffee and specialty drinks while providing friendly, efficient customer service. This role includes greeting guests, taking orders, preparing drinks and light food items. Supervisory Responsibilities: none


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas and other beverages

• Greet customers, take orders, and process payments correctly, maintain cleanliness of coffee and food station, dining area, and equipment.

• Restock supplies, ingredients, and display items as needed

• Operate coffee and espresso machines, grinders, and point of sale.

• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met.

• Answer customer questions about menu items and make recommendations.

• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining excellent service.


Required skills:

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

• Basic math and cash-handling skills

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Teamwork and reliability

• Previous barista or food service experience is preferred but not always required.


Required or Preferred Education and Experience:
