VOLUNTEER WITH THE KAIMUKI-WAIʻALAE YMCA
Get involved, give back, and feel great: The YMCA is committed and equipped to meet the changing needs and challenges of Oahu's families and communities. Volunteers are key to the success of the YMCA. As a volunteer, you support our work, our values, and our mission to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Meet new people and make new friends. Work with the age groups and activities that interest you the most. Volunteer on days or hours that are best for you. It's flexible, fun, and rewarding!
VOLUNTEER POSITION(s):
  • Volunteer Coffee Host - This position focuses on preparing and serving coffee while fostering friendly, positive interactions with everyone who visits. As a Coffee Host, you help build a sense of community by greeting members with a smile, engaging in light conversation, and ensuring each person feels acknowledged and valued.
    • The coffee stand is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteer shifts are flexible, and individuals may sign up to cover the full shift or a portion of the hours based on their availability.
  • Volunteer Group Fitness Assistant - This position supports the YMCA staff and instructors by helping prepare, clean, and reset studio spaces for a variety of group exercise classes. This position plays a key role in ensuring group exercise classes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
    • We are seeking a volunteer group fitness assistant who is available Tuesday and Thursday from 8am - 12:00pm.
  • Volunteer Parking Lot Attendant - This position assists visitors in locating available parking spaces, coordinates tandem parking when needed, and helps maintain a safe environment for both pedestrians and drivers in the lot.
    • We are seeking a volunteer parking lot attendant who is available to serve during some or all of the following shifts: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM-7:00 PM.
