Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for demonstrating operator efficiency, safety and quality by thorough understanding of all Coater stations by following the emulsion & silicone coating processes and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included below. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to perform and understand all positions on the Coater to meet production requirements.
  • Perform all required quality control testing at the machine and make decisions to change the process per results.
  • Produce the product on the shop order within process specifications.
  • Report all required information into E2000 to relieve inventories properly.
  • Clean the machine and areas as required to maintain a superior level of cleanliness.
  • Perform all required machine preventive maintenance tasks as required by the maintenance department.
  • Assume responsibility for the operation of the entire machine while running.
  • Load face and backing material into machine, assure correct raw material is run per the order.
  • Compound adhesive, release, topcoat and primer for the coater per the process specification.
  • Unload tankers of adhesive and perform QA testing per specifications.
  • Operate forklift and RF gun to move material.
  • Perform cycle counts on chemicals and compounds.
  • Completes all daily 5S and cleaning requirements of the Coater.
  • Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices and consistently work in a safe manner about self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
  • Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicates to others in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participative in shift and team meetings.
  • Must be available to work overtime.
  • Perform all other functions and duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory control software.
