Title: PCB Conformal Coating Machine Operator
Shift: M-F 8am -4:30pm
Salary: $18 - $23/hr

PCB Conformal Coating Machine Operator Role:

The PCB Conformal Coating Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated conformal coating equipment to protect printed circuit board assemblies from environmental factors. This role exists to ensure high-quality protection for electronic components against moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes within a fast-paced manufacturing setting

PCB Conformal Coating Machine Operator Responsibilities:

  • Set up and run automated conformal coating machines according to production orders, reports, and engineering specifications
  • Load and unload PCB assemblies into coating equipment, ensuring proper fixturing and masking of designated areas
  • Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and cure using IPC standards and specialized inspection equipment
  • Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning nozzles, purging lines, and replacing consumable components
  • Mix, handle, and store conformal coating materials safely and in accordance with safety documentation
  • Identify and document non-conformances while performing touch-up or rework as directed by engineering
  • Maintain on-time completion of production orders and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and report equipment issues promptly

PCB Conformal Coating Machine Operator Reporting Relationships:

The candidate will report directly to the PCB Production Supervisor, and this position does not have any direct reports

About You:

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or automated machine operation
  • Read and interpret production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and process documentation
  • Demonstrate strong manual dexterity and work well with your hands
  • Utilize basic computer skills within a Microsoft Windows environment for data entry and machine operation
  • Follow ESD-safe handling practices and understand safety documentation
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and sharp attention to detail with minimal supervision
  • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
