Job description

  • Bi-weekly pay-direct deposit

Performs nursing care activities for assigned residents, according to their individualized plan of care and as directed by the licensed nurse.

CNA Med Tech Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides for residents personal hygiene: gives baths, showers, back rubs, shaves, nail care, skin care, grooming functions

  • Toilets/assists in bowel and bladder needs: gives bedpans, urinals, assists with toilet/bedside commode use, changes incontinent briefs all with attention to perineal/skin care

  • Assists with dressing

  • Assists with meals and feeds residents, monitors feeding to include passing trays, between meal nourishments, supplements, ice water, measuring intake and output, calorie count, determining percentage of meals eaten

  • Provides preventative care to include ROM, positioning and repositioning, appropriate application of physical restraints.

  • Ambulates/assists in ambulation to include safe transfer (Hoyer Lift and transfer belts) and use of assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs)

  • Works effectively as a team member which includes communicating effectively with coworkers, maintaining inter-shift walking rounds and orientation of new employees

  • Demonstrates dependability by being punctual; maintains scheduled attendance

  • Other CNA Med Tech duties as assigned
