The NewPath Child & Family Solutions Client Engagement Specialist is responsible for assisting clients and families in both accessing and navigating care within the continuum of NewPath. The agency expects the Client Engagement Specialist to provide ethical and therapeutically appropriate assessments and referrals for clients and families by coordinating and advocating with both internal and external resources to positively impact every client's treatment.

What you'll be doing:
  • Assess the client's symptoms, functioning, strengths, problems and needs.
  • Coordinate the necessary evaluations and assessments to identify each youth's needs utilizing assessment tools.
  • Provide transportation as appropriate and necessary to reach identified goals.
  • Maintain and model appropriate interpersonal relationships.
  • Advocate for client and family and perform tasks necessary to remove barriers to necessary, consistent care.
  • Meet the utilization requirement identified by your program and supervisor.
  • Participate actively in supervision. Reviews any problems and concerns with supervisor to ensure effective and efficient program operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma plus 3 years of experience in a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • A willingness and comfort level in providing community-based services to a diverse population of clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age; have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
