Role: Preschool Assistant Director
We are seeking someone with passion, and dedicated for Early Childhood Development
The Assistant Director shall be responsible for assisting the Director with the operation of the Center and compliance with CA state and The Learning Experience (TLE) regulations.
The Assistant Director assists with providing and coordinating the necessary support, resources, supervision and leadership to ensure the provision of nurturing care and education to young children in a group setting, in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the Center, the philosophy and policies of The Learning Experience (TLE).
The Assistant Director of TLE is a member of the Management Team, and reports to the Center Director.

As an Assistant Director, you will:
  • Support Center Director: Assist the Center Director in managing daily operations, including staff scheduling, enrollment, and curriculum planning.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and guide Lead Teachers, providing support and feedback to enhance their professional growth.
  • Curriculum Oversight: Ensure the effective implementation of our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working closely with Lead Teachers to adapt it to individual child needs.
  • Safety and Compliance: Prioritize the safety and well-being of children, ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines.
  • Parent Communication: Collaborate with Lead Teachers to keep parents informed about their child's progress and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any challenges within the center, offering creative solutions and maintaining a positive atmosphere.

Job: Qualifications:
  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in ECE, child development
  • 3 units related to infant care plus
  • 3 units related to Adult Supervision
  • 3 Units related to Administration
  • 3+ years of teaching experience in child care setting
  • 1 year minimum supervisory experience
  • Site Supervisor Permit Preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish is a Plus
  • Must have CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Fingerprint Clearance through The D.O.J.
