Diamondback Energy is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to support chemical programs across the Midland & Delaware Basin. Reporting to the Chemical Engineering Team Lead, this role focuses on corrosion inhibition, flow assurance, paraffin and HS mitigation, and the optimization of chemical programs through data analytics and cross-functional collaboration.


Job Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to

  • Manage chemical vendors and oversee associated chemical treating programs to ensure performance, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Design, implement, test, andmaintaincorrosion inhibition, flow assurance, and chemical treating systems.
  • Monitor andmaintaincompany KPIs, including chemical costs, residuals, marker trends, and program effectiveness.
  • Analyze corrosion-related failures and support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Develop andmaintaindashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and/or Spotfire.
  • Perform data analysis toidentifytrends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities across chemical programs.
  • Lead internal chemical meetings and present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Facilities, Completions, and other teams to align chemical strategies with operational goals

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of three (3+) Engineering experience, with (2+) years specifically in Chemical Engineering
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company driving and insurability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience building automated dashboards or integrating data from multiple sources (e.g., SCADA, historians, production databases).
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data querying and scripting languages.
