Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...Process Engineer - Supply Chain Note: This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Walmart, a global leader in the retail industry, is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to apply industrial engineering principles to improve operational efficiency, support automation initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across our distribution network. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and business leaders, you will analyze processes, support improvement projects, and leverage data to drive operational excellence. Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with operations leaders to understand business challenges and recommend process improvements.
  • Conduct time studies, work measurement activities, and process observations to assist in identification of operational improvement opportunities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making and process optimization efforts by utilizing statistical and analytical tools.
  • Develop process maps, standard work documentation, and operational reports.
  • Support implementation and validation of automation, engineering, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to operational stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field.
  • 0-3 years of engineering, manufacturing, distribution, and/or supply chain experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and statistical analysis principles.
  • Experience with process mapping, data analysis, and statistical software such as Minitab.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or process improvement preferred.
